Cafeteria Food: Top 10 Biggest Drops

In the past decade our lives have changed dramatically, routinely revolving around our cell phones, computers, ipods, and social networks. Our music generation has been introduced to some of the greatest changes an era has ever witnessed.  While electronic music has been around for some time, the changes we see in our programs and development of computer instruments has evolved and changed the way we listen to and experience new music.  A “drop” is the result of an electronic buildup in a song.  It is the climax, the finish line, the splooge effect.  It creates ripples that surround the sound and momentarily changes the rhythm, pitch, and frequency of that particular song. Logistically speaking, there is no certain way to classify the “best” drop, as drops come in all sizes, shapes, and forms in electronic music. Electronic House, DnB, Dubstep, and Progressive House music are all characteristic of containing atleast one drop in their songs.  In an attempt to do my best with my fatty iTunes Library, I introduce to you the Top 10 drops in Electronic Music along with the time associated with each respective drop.

Cafeteria Food: TOP 10 SEXIEST FEMALES ON THE DUBSTEP

Anyone close to me knows that I’ve been working hard, shoveling through old and new songs for this April 2011 TOP 10 project.  After some of the recent releases by Reija Lee, whose voice is slowly turning me on more than Ellie Goulding’s voice, I couldn’t but help put together this small list I’ve had in mind for some time.  So once again, turn your speakers up, plug your headphones in, and listen to these sexy voices get taken over by the crushing wobbles. I present to you the sexiest females on dubstep.

                                                                                                 TOP 10
                                                               1) Phetsta – Run You Down ft. Reija Lee
Reija Lee is slowly making her way up to the top.  She’s at my top not only because she is by far the sexiest girl to ever sing on a dubstep track, but the songs she has chosen and her unbelievable voice just make an incredible mix.
                                                                2) La Roux – In For the Kill (Skrillex Remix)
La Roux has been around for a while and is already known to have talent. Skrillex has some fun in this remix that has been out for a while, just a nice revisit of a great song with some excellent vocals
                                                              3) Ellie Goulding – Lights (Bassnectar Remix)
The princess of them all.  I swear her vocal chords are made of gold.  Find any song by Ellie and I promise you fall in love with the woman.
                                                                  4) Kelis – 4th of July (Rusko Remix)
Kelis’s Fireworks song was a release last year that had people going crazy.  When you add a little Rusko in the mix, you can never go wrong.
                                                                5) Borgore – My Favorite Things ft. Yael Naim
The sleeper of them all, Yael Naim has probably the sweetest voice on this list.  Her songs will make you feel good, especially this cover of a Mary Poppins song “My Favorite Things”
                                                           6) Deadmau5 – I Remember ft. Haley (Caspa Remix)
Haley Gibbs is that mysterious voice in the “I Remember” single from Deadmau5 and Kaskade.  She is also featured in Kaskad’es single “Dynasty”.
                                                                              7) Katy B. – On A Mission
Katy B. may be unfamiliar to most of you as was she to me before I heard this song a while back.  She is only 21 and has a bright future ahead of her.
                                                8) Rusko – Hold On ft. Amber Coffman (Sub Focus Remix)
Amber Coffman is that sexy voice behind Rusko’s infamous “Hold On” track that was absolutely taken over when Sub Focus did a remix of it.  She is in a band called the Dirty Projectors, look for more songs from this girl.
                                                           9) Robyn – Call You’re Girlfriend (Feed Me Remix)
Robyn has been around for a while unlike many of the women previously mentioned, however her talent has far from reached its limit.  Her single “Call Your Girlfriend” was recently remixed by Feed Me, currently on tour with Deadmau5.

                                           10) Tinie Tempah ft. Ellie Goulding – Wonderman (Bare Noize Remix)
While I joked around with the homies last night telling them I’d put up Skrillex’s remix of Cinema up s number 10, I feel like that song may deserve a list of its own.  Here’s a remix I just found of one of my favorite songs of the year, “Wonderman”. Ellie again.

Cafeteria Food: Top 10 Space Songs

After just watching Black Swan and No Strings Attached (I just got away with that), I finally reached the conclusion that there’s only one girl out there for me, Natalie Portman.  She blows away the definition of perfection. Almost like Ghandi meets Alba meets an In ‘N Out Burger and then all three of those meet up under the Eifel Tower to have the best sex ever.  And while I’ll confess I never integrated a single Star Wars episode into my childhood, mostly because I was not the nerd picked last for every basketball game on the playground, I’m going to go ahead and dedicate this post to the brilliance that Mr.Lucas had in picking Portman up at a young age.  Here’s my rendition of the new and improved Star Wars, labeled Space Wars.  A list of the top 10 songs about/related to space in the past year.  Here’s to you beautiful.
