Cafeteria Food: Top 10 Biggest Drops

In the past decade our lives have changed dramatically, routinely revolving around our cell phones, computers, ipods, and social networks. Our music generation has been introduced to some of the greatest changes an era has ever witnessed.  While electronic music has been around for some time, the changes we see in our programs and development of computer instruments has evolved and changed the way we listen to and experience new music.  A “drop” is the result of an electronic buildup in a song.  It is the climax, the finish line, the splooge effect.  It creates ripples that surround the sound and momentarily changes the rhythm, pitch, and frequency of that particular song. Logistically speaking, there is no certain way to classify the “best” drop, as drops come in all sizes, shapes, and forms in electronic music. Electronic House, DnB, Dubstep, and Progressive House music are all characteristic of containing atleast one drop in their songs.  In an attempt to do my best with my fatty iTunes Library, I introduce to you the Top 10 drops in Electronic Music along with the time associated with each respective drop.

Cafeteria Food: Top 10 Space Songs

After just watching Black Swan and No Strings Attached (I just got away with that), I finally reached the conclusion that there’s only one girl out there for me, Natalie Portman.  She blows away the definition of perfection. Almost like Ghandi meets Alba meets an In ‘N Out Burger and then all three of those meet up under the Eifel Tower to have the best sex ever.  And while I’ll confess I never integrated a single Star Wars episode into my childhood, mostly because I was not the nerd picked last for every basketball game on the playground, I’m going to go ahead and dedicate this post to the brilliance that Mr.Lucas had in picking Portman up at a young age.  Here’s my rendition of the new and improved Star Wars, labeled Space Wars.  A list of the top 10 songs about/related to space in the past year.  Here’s to you beautiful.
